Ramsgate is one of three villages that make up the Isle of Thanet.  Whether you want to eat at an award winning Thai restaurant such as The Surin , venture on an exhilarating sea safari from Ramsgate Harbour or simply laze around on a golden blue flag award beach then Ramsgate is for you. Charles Dickens wrote many of his works in the next door village of Broadstairs whilst Margate is in the process of creating one of Britain's most impressive art centres named after JMW Turner who chose Thanet to paint many of his famous works.
